After many years, Alice (Mia Wasikowska), now 19 years old, returns to Wonderland, a fascinating place beyond all imagination. There, Alice meets old acquaintances from her childhood: the White Rabbit, the March Hare, the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) and the White Queen (Anne Hathaway) place all their hopes in Alice to put an end to the Red Queen’s (Helena Bonham Carter) reign of terror. The inhabitants of Wonderland thus take Alice on a fantastic journey in which she is shrunk, stretched, scratched and placed in a teapot, and finally discovers who she really is.
The visually spectacular fantasy adventure ALICE IN WONDERLAND impresses with visual effects, wit and plenty of charm and will be available in three home-cinema editions from July 22, 2010. All Wonderland fans, and those who want to become one, can choose between the two-disc DVD edition including Digital Copy, the single-disc Blu-ray edition or the three-disc Blu-ray edition including DVD and Disney Digital Copy. The bonus features on every edition tell you “All About Alice”, take you behind the scenes and special effects, and follow Johnny Depp’s transformation into the Mad Hatter.
