So far it is only a study and a prototype that Aircord Labs is showing under the name N-3D. It consists of a glass pyramid with partially mirrored sides. Viewers look through these sides and see reflections from the screen positioned above. This screen – an iPad in the prototype – is divided into three areas showing different views of the desired object. These are reflected through the glass and perceived by the viewer, and anyone walking around the pyramid sees the object from different sides.
Anyone can imagine the losses in brightness and resolution caused by dividing the screen and projecting through semipermeable, reflective materials.
