The forthcoming version 4 of RenderMan has been substantially improved in terms of speed and memory management. RenderMan now also supports Maya Fluids, Maya 2011 and a simplified, adapted interface.

In version 3, RenderMan Studio supports co-shaders, PSets and Ptex. It also includes the “Tractor 1.0” module, which uses a new architecture to manage distributed rendering on small and large render farms.
