While Atomix LT handles formats up to 2K, Atomix enables real-time image processing of uncompressed data at every resolution from SD to 4K. The 1D and 3D LUTs provide the basis for efficient colour management and grading, while the freely programmable up- and downscaler enables different image formats to be processed without prior rendering. With two independent video channels, both Atomix boards support 3D/stereo processing up to 2K.
At IBC 2010, the DVS boards come with an expanded software development kit: in addition to their own SDK, Atomix and Atomix LT also work with Apple’s QuickTime SDK.
This allows many applications on the Apple Mac to benefit from the advantages of the Atomix cards, such as 3.0 Gbps on both SDI inputs and outputs. Atomix and Atomix LT also offer direct integration with Final Cut Pro for compressed and uncompressed formats. While real-time capture is possible up to 2K, playback even takes place up to 4K in real time. Professional video recorders can be controlled for frame-accurate video transfers via the RS-422 interface integrated into the DVS boards.
