Oceans

More than 650,000 visitors have already marvelled in the cinema at the fascinating documentary OCEANS, which dives into the mysterious and unknown depths of our world’s oceans. With OCEANS, Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud have created a film symphony about the oceans, the origin of all life, which promises an unforgettable home-entertainment experience. DP is giving away three Blu-rays of this documentary-film highlight.

OCEANS makes the underwater world tangible from a perspective that was previously inaccessible and opens our eyes to the great interrelationships of life. Following the audience successes “Winged Migration” and “Microcosmos,” directors Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud embark with their documentary on a journey of discovery into the still largely unexplored and fascinating world of the oceans. For four years, they travelled with a team of divers, technicians and scientists on a unique voyage of discovery, always in search of the unexpected.

Thanks to the most modern equipment and camera technology, unique and impressive images have been created of the mysterious inner life of the oceans, our planet’s largest and most species-rich habitat. Images of a kind never seen before and whose breathtaking beauty will not quickly be forgotten.

How to Train Your Dragon

DreamWorks Animation’s exciting action adventure “How to Train Your Dragon” sails into stores on DVD and Blu-ray on October 22: on board are plenty of wit, thrills and, of course, dragons! DP is giving away three Blu-rays of the animated film.

The young Viking Hiccup breaks a long-standing Viking tradition when he befriends one of his mortal enemies – a wild dragon he calls “Toothless.” Together, the unlikely heroes must defy every conceivable adversity to save both their worlds.

The upcoming DP issue 6 (publication date October 26, 2010) contains an interview with Kirsten Kawamura, visual development artist at DreamWorks, about her work on “How to Train Your Dragon.”
