The one-click clustering with integrated file sharing, described by manufacturer Telestream as a pioneer, is intended to provide videographers, editors and post-production studios with a simple solution for combining computing capacity.
The special feature is that both PC and Mac systems can be combined. A new interface is also intended to illustrate the workflow graphically and bring everything from the pipeline to uploading to YouTube under one roof.
New video formats are also on board, including the web standard WebM, which is based on the open V8 video codec, as well as MainConcept H.264 and MPEG formats and the ProRes codec.
Episode 6 is available online as a download at http://www.telestream.net, in various versions starting at 495 US dollars.
