Jib Arm for Professional Pans with DSLRs

Filming with a DSLR is a fine thing – if only clean pans were possible beyond the Steadicam. With the DSLR Light Jib, ABC Products wants to enable every DSLR filmmaker to make clean pans from December.

A jib arm that is also a small crane at the same time – depending on the tripod used – is what ABC Products promises with the carbon arm, which, at just 3.9 kilograms, is also in a similar weight class to DSLR cameras. A boom length of 1.52 m and a load capacity of 4.5 kg should therefore be sufficient for most DSLRs and should also hold smaller professional camcorders, such as the Canon XF 100/105, without difficulty. The parallelogram bar and angled head allow exact, continuously variable settings, and a pivot bearing with a stop function prevents bouncing after the pan stops.

The jib is expected to be available from all ABC Products dealers from December for around 1,200 euros.
