According to NVIDIA, the Quadro 2000 delivers one and a half times the geometry performance of the previous version, and the new “Scalable Geometry Engine” is intended to make noticeable speed differences perceptible in CAD applications such as SolidWorks or Autodesk 3ds Max.
For beginners there is the enormously affordable Quadro 600 at around 160 euros – although it offers only 96 CUDA cores, noticeable performance increases should already be perceptible here with the new Adobe CS5, including in Premiere.
Both cards support the active-shutter NVIDIA 3D Vision glasses, OpenGL 4.1, DirectX 11, Shader Model 5.0, DirectCompute and OpenCL, and are certified by almost all relevant software providers such as Adobe, Autodesk and SolidWorks.
