The Media Systems bachelor’s degree program is said to qualify graduates for work in computer and network technology, especially in the media sector and games industry.
According to the university, the first year of study focuses on the basic subjects of mathematics, computer science, programming and design. Building on these foundations, students deepen their knowledge in computer science and electronics, networks, IT security, databases, software engineering, image processing and virtual systems. In the third year of study, students could choose various advanced modules from computer science, design and audiovisual media, it continues. Economic and social-science subjects complement the course; projects emphasise the practical aspects of the training.
Mechatronics combines the traditional elements of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science. It supports interdisciplinary thinking and work. An interdisciplinary approach is therefore required today for increasingly complex tasks and systems. This gives mechatronics engineers a very wide variety of employment opportunities.
The seven-semester bachelor’s degree course teaches students the fundamentals of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. The basic mechatronic elements, sensors and actuators, as well as control engineering and computer science, are covered especially intensively.
