The Ludwigsburg-based studio is among the international leaders. We are delighted with the 2009 animago winner for “Angel afoot” about the nomination of the film adaptation of “The Gruffalo”. Directors Jakob Schuh and Max Lang both studied at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.

In 2009, Studio Soi won an animago AWARD in the “Jury Prize” category. “Angel afoot” impressed at the time with the story of the angel Waltraud, who one day loses her wings. It takes the fallen angel a while to discover that only good deeds mean, so to speak, the licence to fly.
