According to the manufacturer, the latest developments for the Freestyle Rig include the Evolution Upgrade, the new Magic Support, a well-considered shoulder support and a series of special camera plates for common mounts.
Evolution Upgrade
According to P+S Technik, the Evolution Upgrade now allows the Freestyle Rig to be fitted with heavy broadcast and digital-cinematography cameras, as the new solid camera adapters withstand heavy camera setups in every position. The adjustment mechanisms for camera inclination, camera rotation and camera height are considerably more stable than those on the standard camera adapter, in order to hold camera setups weighing up to 9 kg permanently and stably in position.
Setup, calibration and lens changes wentne quickly, and the adjustments on the Freestyle Rig Evolution were stable thanks to locking screws, the company continues. This means the rig is suitable not only for film production but also for the broadcast sector. According to the company, with the corresponding accessories the Freestyle Rig can still be used not only on a Steadycam, but also on the shoulder, crane, dolly and tripod. Thanks to the use of the latest carbon technologies from Formula 1, the Freestyle Rig remains one of the lightest 3D rigs on the market.
