Small, cheeky and militarily organized – the Penguins of Madagascar, Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private, should not be underestimated!
At first glance, they look like harmless, cute zoo animals. But in truth, the shrewd DreamWorks Animation quartet belongs to a powerful elite unit. Their mission: Ensure law and order at the Central Park Zoo in New York City. The secret stars of the Madagascar films have already proved several times that they are exactly the right ones for the job.
This time too, the daring penguins shy away from no challenge: annoying rats, arguing lemurs, a flying Lorka or a terrorizing frog – there is no mission the brave agents cannot master.
Their tireless work is also rewarded among viewers: Since September 2009, the successful TV series has achieved top ratings on Nickelodeon with a market share of now up to 35 percent among 3–13-year-olds*.
Packed with eight funny new episodes, “The Penguins of Madagascar: Special Unit: Penguin” appears on DVD from Paramount Home Entertainment on June 9, 2011.

Everything could actually be so nice at the Manhattan zoo. If it were not for the lemurs with their eccentric King Julien, who regularly causes trouble. Because order in the zoo must not be disturbed, Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private have to settle a huge argument among the lemurs in the episode “Party Animals.” If they fail, peace will be gone forever.
But that is not all. When a baboon receives more applause for a dance routine than Julien, he is appalled. Once again, the penguin special unit must intervene in “The Lost Groove” to prevent worse.

King Julien the source of all evil? Far from it. In the episode “The Untouchable,” a small nasty frog moves into the zoo and begins to terrorize the other animals. Skipper & Co must use all their tricks and skills to put the cheeky adversary in his place.
In the other episodes “All Roger,” “Wild Otters,” “The Lorka!,” “Flubbi” and “Moon Cat in Danger,” the lovable super agents once again prove themselves rescuers in times of need.
