For now, however, neither ILM nor DreamWorks needs to be afraid – the studio’s primary task is intended to be "Nickelodeon", the Viacom children’s channel, for which one animated film per year is to be created.
Conceptually, the new studio will then stand fully within the exploitation chain of the Viacom group (to which Paramount belongs) and create complete products comprising marketing, merchandise, films, content and secondary exploitation.
