Battle for DVD Succession: Setback for Blu-ray
In the competition to succeed the DVD, the camp of the Blu-ray standard has suffered a severe setback. The US film studio Paramount and its subsidiary DreamWorks SKG have decided on the competing HD-DVD format.
IFA 2007: Paramount and Mitsubishi Electric Present Blockbusters in Full HD
Paramount is represented at IFA 2007 with no fewer than four cinemas. Paramount partner Mitsubishi Electric is showing HD-DVD and Blu-ray film highlights such as "Das Parfum", "Dreamgirls", the "Mission Impossible" trilogy or "World Trade Center" in special screening rooms - around the clock and in Full HD quality.
