As macrumors.com reports, Apple has, for once, allowed itself to be swayed by user protests.

The current version of Final Cut Studio – that is, current outside FCPX – with Final Cut Pro 7, Motion 4, Soundtrack Pro 3, DVD Studio Pro 4, Color 1.5 and Compressor 3.5 can once again be ordered by telephone under order number MB642Z/A, at a price of 999 US dollars. The suite is available only through the American 800 number, and not in the online store or Apple stores.

After users who could not  work with version 10 had already received refunds of the purchase price, we can assume that Apple will now think twice about its new strategy for professional editing.
