Even the Doors sang about Los Angeles as the "City of Lights". David Parker draws attention to the problem that this permanent illumination may be beautiful but is an enormous waste of energy in his short film "Light", shot and produced in LA.

Bleeding light sources reminiscent of Dali’s melting works of time and volcanic magma are intended to prompt a rethink.
