Trash, Dance & Robots
In winter 2021, we decided to make a film as a group of three under the guidance of our professor Jürgen Schopper about a robot whose purpose in life is to pick up rubbish. A lot has happened in the meantime: the robot is now controlled by an old lady and can - surprise! - dance very well. We have spent many enjoyable, stressful and also funny days at the HFF with our robot and the old lady. The original idea resulted in a four-minute animated film. We - three visual effects students (Valentin Dittlmann, Hannes Werner, Felix Zachau) at the University of Television and Film in Munich - developed, realised and completed this film in the course of our first year of study.

18th Lünen Film Festival Concludes With More Visitors
The Lünen Film Festival celebrated its coming of age with an all-round successful festival. Around 7.700 visitors, more than ever before, found their way into the cinemas over the four days of the festival. Particularly popular were the films “The Three Robbers”, “Jacob's Brother” and “We Say You! Darling”, some of which sold out in several screenings, the latter alone meeting nearly 800 enthusiastic spectators at the opening gala.
XXS – Dortmund Short Film Festival
The Dortmund Short Film Festival is organised by students of the Advertising and Media Academy Marquardt (WAM) in cooperation with the Dortmund Agency and CineStar Dortmund. A selection of 10 short films will be screened from all submissions from German-speaking countries. An expert jury will select the three best short films and award them the "Dortmund Short Film Prize" in bronze, silver and gold, which are endowed with 500, 1,000 and 1,500 euros respectively. The Audience Award will also be presented again this year.

Programme of the 18th Lünen Film Festival
From November 15 to 18, 2007, the Lünen Film Festival celebrates its 18th birthday with a total of 53 short and long German productions. 29 of them will be shown in the competitions, 24 in the special programmes. For the first time this year, the Lünen Film Festival is awarding the prize for best film music, endowed with 2,500 euros; two further one-time prizes will be presented in the FUTURE extra and the SPORT extra. Interfilm: 22nd International Short Film Festival Berlin
More than 4,000 films and videos from 94 countries have been submitted so far, from which the organisers have selected 500 productions of various genres - from feature films to animated films, documentaries and children's films to music clips. Around 16,000 visitors are expected. Prizes in kind and cash prizes totalling 35,000 euros will be awarded.
WAM Film Night
On November 4, 2006, the Werbe- & Medien-Akademie Marquardt will present the "small film prize" for the 6th time as part of WAM Film Night to the best up-and-coming filmmakers. The prize is intended to help draw the industry's attention to the great creative potential of young filmmakers. WAM Film Night was founded in 2001 by Frank Erhardt – Academy Director of Werbe- & Medien-Akademie Marquardt – and a team of committed students and has successfully established itself since then. In addition to submissions from universities throughout Germany, WAM Film Night recorded international entries for the first time in 2005. Until September 29, up-and-coming filmmakers can apply to participate with scenic-fictional productions with a maximum length of 20 minutes. The producer and director of the film are entitled to submit.
DOK Leipzig – the 49th International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film
The International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film is the largest German and one of the most important and traditional international documentary film festivals. The festival was founded in 1955 by the Film Club of the GDR as the All-German Leipzig Week for Cultural and Documentary Film and was thus the first independent film festival in the GDR. Under the direction of Wolfgang Kernicke, it was established as an annual international film festival from 1960 onwards. The festival programme consists of competitions, information and special programmes and retrospectives. Artistic animated film has been an integral part of the festival for decades and has been represented by an independent competition since 1995.
