The microphone is intended to fit both the classic accessory shoe or be attachable to the camera tripod via its 1/4-inch threaded hole at the foot of the microphone. Using a 3.5 mm jack plug, it is intended to be connectable with a sturdy, shielded audio cable to any camera with the corresponding connection.
Audio quality
According to the manufacturer, the microphone’s frequency range is 70 Hz to 20,000 Hz, and the maximum sound-pressure level is 120 dB. The microphone’s cardioid directional characteristic is intended to enable a recording with more sound from the front and minimize interfering noises from behind and the side. In addition, it is intended to be possible to adapt the microphone to different recording situations using three different sensitivity levels (-10dB, 0 dB, +10dB).
Features
An additional deadcat is unfortunately not offered with the microphone, but the foam windshield covering is intended to reduce wind noise. The shotgun microphone measures 133 x 40 x 76 millimeters and weighs approximately 83 grams. With two micro batteries (AAA), up to 100 hours of audio recording are intended to be possible.
