This software update 9.2 is now intended to enable external broadcast monitoring for a range of Blackmagic cards and boxes for Final Cut Pro X. According to Blackmagic Design, support is included for all DeckLink, Multibridge, Intensity and UltraStudio models. The beta update is available free of charge for Mac OS X.
Broadcast monitoring is said to be possible with video output to external monitors and other equipment via SDI, HDMI or analogue video outputs from Blackmagic Design video hardware. Desktop Video 9.2 beta 1 is likewise said to include a new control panel for selecting the video output format from Final Cut Pro x.
Media Express 3.1 beta is also said to be added with this update, enabling capture, logging and management of video files in formats compatible with Final Cut Pro X.
