In the film, giant corn kernels in Stuttgart city centre turn into popcorn; the work received the VES Award in the category "Outstanding Visual Effects in a Student Project".
The three prize-winners Falko Paeper, Roman Kaelin and Florian Wittmann, who study at the Institute of Animation, Visual Effects and Digital Postproduction, comment on the film’s plot as follows: "The idea for the film grew out of our curiosity about people’s reactions when they are suddenly confronted with something new and unusual".
