The 12.2 graphics driver is expected to appear around March in a version officially certified by Microsoft. The Catalyst 12.2 driver is said to be for Windows 7, Vista and XP and for all Radeon models from the HD 2000 series onwards and now also includes Radeon HD 7700 and 7900, though initially only for Windows 7 and Vista. With the Eyefinity function available from the Radeon 5000 generation onwards, an extended desktop can be displayed across all displays.
The resolutions are said to be variably adjustable and the taskbar movable. Super-sampling is said to have been added for gamers for greater image quality. The AMD Catalyst 12.2 driver for Linux follows at the beginning of March.
