Until now, Golaem Crowd, the crowd simulation software for Autodesk Maya, was compatible only with Pixar Renderman and V-Ray. In version 1.4, Golaem is now also said to support Mental Ray as well as Mental Ray for Maya.

It is also now said to be possible to define characters as geometry instances, so that a very large number of units can be rendered with fast performance.

Golaem Crowd is said to be compatible with Autodesk Maya 2011, 2012 and 2013 for Windows and Linux.
