Mocha is a tool for intelligent planar tracking – users of version 2.5 are said to be able to upgrade to version 3 free of charge. Features said to be added in mocha Pro v3 and mocha AE v3 include expanded rotoscoping tools such as Bounding Box and Joint Layers, which allow the roto masks to be edited more efficiently, new layer and project management as well as support for 3D camera tracking for After Effects and FBX formats in mocha Pro.
New keyframe layouts and smaller features such as keyboard shortcuts and interface improvements are said to improve the entire planar-tracking-based workflow. mocha AE is said to be optimised for After Effects, Apple Final Cut Pro and Motion, while mocha Pro is said to be compatible with all common editing, compositing and animation tools and able to handle challenging shots and large projects.
