In the new version, Connection offers the possibility of integrating eyeon products directly into Avid’s AVX2 architecture without leaving the Avid project. The import and export process is thus eliminated. The latest versions of Avid’s Media Composer, Symphony, NewsCutter, and Avid DS are already supported.
Fusion and Dimension can be installed on the same system as the Avid programs for this functionality. Distribution of the programs over the network is also no problem. This aspect in particular distinguishes Connection from previous attempts by Avid to ensure support for external software. Through eyeon Connection, node-based special effects can be created at the same time(Fusion), stereoscopic tools can be used, and other image processing familiar from Dimension can be edited in Avid’s timeline. Server storage or importing elements is no longer necessary.
Jeff Krebs, Sales Director at eyeon Software, spoke up and praised the new development:

eyeon Connection with AVX2 support is available or integrated in Fusion and Dimension 6.4.
