CryEngine Materials, Vol 1 – 3, An Introduction and Application – is the name of the new video series, which is now available from Eat3D.
The first DVD covers getting to know the CryEngine Material Editor and studying different materials, including setting up a test scene. The first DVD therefore lets users enjoy creating shaders for, for example, car paint or rubber tires.
On the second DVD, Hélder Pinto explores material creation in greater depth with further examples, extending to the use of cinematic HDR tone mapping. DVD 3 is aimed more at advanced users, with examples of sophisticated materials such as road shaders, the creation of decals, and parallax occlusion mapping.
Each part of the series is available separately at a price of 54.95 dollars for the DVD including download. If all three is purchased together as a bundle, a discount of 30% on the total price is given.
