OutlinerPlus for Maya

Tim Völcker’s OutlinerPlus is an editor that expands the existing Maya Outliner with important functions. In particular, the ability to use filters to display only nodes that are being searched for or needed simplifies the work. Accordingly, Tim Völcker says there is no need to use the slower Hypershade to make a selection.

Filters for node categories are already integrated by default, but anyone who wishes can take action themselves and assemble their own filters without programming knowledge. More in-depth work on the functionality can be changed through the use of MEL and Python.

Like the conventional Outliner, OutlinerPlus can be used as an integrated panel or, depending on the workflow, in a floating window.

Anyone who wants to try the toll will find detailed instructions for OutlinerPlus and the download link on Tim Völcker’s homepage.
