Five Short Films at Siggraph

Five animated films created in recent months at the Institute of Animation at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg will be shown at Siggraph this year.

At Siggraph, which takes place from August 5 to 9 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the diploma film "Herr Hoppe und der Atommüll" (director: Jan Lachauer, producer: Torsten Löffler), the FMX 2012 trailer "Globosome" (director: Sascha Geddert, producer: Philipp Wolf), the diploma film "Oh Sheep!" (director: Gottfried Mentor, producers: Gottfried Mentor and Leonid Godik), the ITFS 2012 cinema trailer "Hai Hase" (directors: Florian Greth and "Julia Reck," producer: Philipp Wolf), and the ITFS 2013 short trailer "FISCHKOPP" (directors: Alexander Dietrich, Dominic Eise, and Johannes Flick, producer: Cosima Maria Degler) will be shown. "Globosome" and "Herr Hoppe und der Atommüll" will also be honored as "Best Student Project Prize Runners-Up."

Jan Lachauer and Thorsten Löffler, who developed "Herr Hoppe und der Atommüll" together, are delighted about the award: "The entire team is incredibly happy that our animated series ‘Herr Hoppe und der Atommüll’ will be shown at Siggraph 2012 in the largest cinema, the Electronic Theater, and honored with the ‘Best Student Project Prize Runners-Up’ award.
