Singular Software sells products such as PluralEyes, Dual Eyes, and CloudEyes – the company’s flagship software is Plural Eyes, which allows clips from multiple cameras and audio files to be synchronized subsequently on the timeline. Red Giant does not appear to have taken over Singular Software completely; despite the acquisition of its products and technology, it is intended to be more a kind of partnership.
For this reason, Singular is currently still intended to be working independently of Red Giant on the development of the current 3.0 version of PluralEyes for Mac, which is intended to be released later this summer. Until the end of September, the products are intended to continue to be sold through the Singular website, after which they will become part of the Red Giant portfolio.
Until now, Red Giant was known for the Magic Bullet Suite as well as plug-ins for After Effects, Final Cut, Premiere, or Nuke, among others. Co-founder Sean Safreed warmly welcomes this business development in the Red Giant blog and thinks that the two tools Magic Bullet Looks and PluralEyes complement each other optimally for faster video production.
