In Fusion 6.4, the new Replicate 3D tool is intended to open up the functions of creating geometry for particles or copying 3D shapes to every vertex of any mesh. Replicate 3D is intended to surpass the already familiar Duplicate 3D in its possibilities.
Another main feature, according to eyeon Software, is the ability to collaborate with Avid editing systems as well as PFTrack for a modernized workflow. For comprehensive integration, the Arri Color Space is said to have been added to the Fusion Gamut Tool.
An additional bonus of version 6.4 is that RAW formats from Alexa and Phantom cameras are intended to be supported. In addition, Fusion 6.4 is now intended to offer support for a wide variety of camera formats, including those from Sony, Panasonic, Canon, Arri, or Red. This allows different cameras to be used during a production, while Fusion 6.4 is nevertheless intended to ensure a consistent look. Professional support for 3D monitors as well as scopes and 3DLuts is also said to have been added.
Other features include DirectX View for viewing across two monitors, compatibility with Windows 8, and various updates to the software architecture and individual functions.
Further information can be found on the eyeon Software website.
