Anyone working on a Stereo 3D project who would like to view reference material in order to optimize their own recordings in terms of settings is welcome at RMIT3DV. The archive for Stereo 3D HD reference footage was founded in Australia by RMIT University in collaboration with Alex and Jono Films.

There are a total of 31 clips in the archive, each divided into videos for right and left. In addition, a choice can be made between MOV and MP4 formats. The uncompressed material is in the MOV file, while MP4 primarily serves as a preview. The recordings were made with an AG-3DA1 HD in conjunction with a BMD HyperDeck Shuttle recorder. As previously mentioned, the clips are free and are based on the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License. However, naming the source is requested for use – regardless of whether commercial or not.
