With Final Effects Complete 7, Boris FX provides users of After Effects and Premiere Pro with a very large repertoire of effects and transitions. According to Boris FX, the new version includes more than 120 different 3D particle effects, automatically animated transitions and unique text forms.
Key features include support for 32-bit float rendering for finer motion blur and transitions. Beat Reactor technology will also be implemented, equipping both After Effects and Premiere Pro with effects controlled by audio signals.
A new filter is called FEC Difference Blend and creates an effect that appears to the viewer as if the top layer of the video had been painted onto the layer below. Nine other effect filters have been added alongside this filter.
Until version 7 becomes available, users can download a trial version of Final Effects Complete 6 from the Boris FX site to familiarise themselves with controlling the tools and so on. A valid version of Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, starting with CS4, is required for installation and use.
