"Keyboards were created for typing, but not for video editing," says Jeff Chow. That is why he developed the CTRL+Console editing app, which is intended to enable control via iPhone, iPad or iPod over Final Cut Pro 7/X, Adobe Premiere Pro and Lightroom. The Base App and the Base App plus Editing Console for iPads are intended to be available. According to project initiator Jeff Chow, different interfaces allow access to various functions such as Video Transport, Audio Fader and Video Editing. Access to several devices simultaneously via WLAN is also said to be possible.
In a video, Jeff Chow presents editing via touch operation using a prototype. The virtual jog-shuttle controller has the editing buttons Delete, Lift, Replace and Mark In/Out.
In a video update, the developer also demonstrates control of Lightroom functions and 3-Wheel colour correction in DaVinci Resolve.
