According to ARRI, the update can be applied to the Alexa, Alexa Plus, Alexa Plus 4:3, Alexa M and Alexa Studio. ARRI announced further update features including the ability to record ProRes in 2K in the 16:9 or 4:3 image format, as well as improved high-speed debayering.
According to ARRI, update 7.0 also revises the display’s status indicator and simplifies the camera menu. The update is also said to include a Low Contrast Curve Look File, and support for the Controlled Lens Motor CLM-4 has likewise been added. As ARRI reported, the update makes 3D Sync available for the Alexa M without a licence key.
