One of the update’s new main tools is the L3 Geo Locator, which is intended to work in principle like Maya Follicles. According to Lightstorm3D, it can be used to distribute geometry on polygon meshes, Nurbs surfaces and Nurbs Curves, using either UV coordinates or vector projections onto a mesh or the Nurbs surface.

The Geo Locator is intended to contain integrated position and rotation dynamics including gravity and axis locking. Other tools included in the L3Library are the Rename Tool, the Projection Plane, a Floating Shelf Window and a complete Python Library for handling nodes and attributes.

The update is compatible with Maya 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2013.5.
