Andrew Kamer played with the AE particle system Trapcode Particular and produced interesting, beautiful results. To do this, he connected the Particle Emitter to a null object. He then used turbulence, auxiliary particle creations, some Lens Textures from Optical Flares and various images in Photoshop.

Anyone who would like to look at Andrew Kramer’s settings and play around with the project can download it here. However, render times could be long because of the millions of particles, Kramer warns.
