According to Adobe, the Warp Stabilizer will be improved in the new After Effects, and the new version will be called "Warp Stabilizer VFX". It is intended for use in even more complex VFX and compositing tasks.

The 3D Camera Tracker has also been optimised. According to Adobe, there is now an option to refine tracking points to improve camera accuracy. Settings can also be made for the origin and ground plane.

Also new in this version of After Effects are the Refine Edge Tool, the Roto Brush & Refine Edge Effect and the Refine Soft Matte Effect. These can be regarded as an improvement to the Roto Brush already present in the CS6 version. The Refine Edge Tool is intended to make it easier to separate complicated foreground elements, such as shaggy or tousled hair, from the background.
