Despite all the high-end looks, sometimes things can be a little grainier. But where can you get good film grain? visionColor offers 35 mm film grain (Kodak Vision 3 5213) for download on its website .
The film grain can be used in "clean" After Effetcs footage, although the manufacturer states that all common compositing software and NLEs are also supported. visionColor recommends setting the blending mode to "Overlay" and adjusting the opacity to suit the grain layer. 35 percent should be sufficient in most cases to achieve a natural result.
