In Munich at least, the weather over Pentecost is expected to be more than modest, so users may retreat to the computer without a guilty conscience.

As always, new features and fixes have been announced, but try them for yourselves:

  • Support for Global Character & Keyboard: Unicode-enabled, supporting project, footage and layer names and file paths in every language.
  • Problems with licence deactivation in connection with OS X Mountain Lion have been fixed
  • Problems with tracking export in AE and FCP projects have been fixed, and tracking export itself is now apparently intended to work better overall
  • The 3D Camera Exporter can now export and also recognise zeros in names, both in AE and in FBX/Nuke.

This release builds on Mocha Pro v3.x and Mocha AE 3.x. Customers who have Mocha AE CS6 from Adobe must, however, update or obtain a trial to test the beta.

Although the 3D Importer for After Effects plug-in does not require a licence, the new naming functionality works only with prerelease Mocha Pro/AE v3.2 and Mocha 3D Importer 1.1.

For completeness, the manufacturer also points out that this is a beta and that users should therefore not work with it.
