This enables video recording with EOS cameras using a reduced contrast range, making colour grading easier in post-production.
The new Picture Style works with a lower range of colour saturation and contrast when filming, similar to professional Canon X Series camcorders. This is advantageous for the grading process in post-production and particularly supports filmmakers who want to record supplementary material to footage shot with a Canon X Series camcorder, or give their Full HD videos a special atmospheric look. The new Picture Style can also be applied to photographs recorded in RAW or JPEG format.
