The preceding 4K UHD-1 model with a 50-inch size still costs a hefty 1,399 euros at Amazon. The successor model SE39UY04 is only 39 inches, but is also intended to cost only 699 dollars. According to Seiki, this price drop is achieved by dispensing with all smart-TV functions.
The television is intended to support native 4K playback at a refresh rate of up to 30 hertz, while up to 120 hertz is possible for 1080p content. According to the manufacturer, the device also has a USB interface.
Seiki intends to present the television for the first time at the CE Week Line Shows and Exhibits. The official market launch is not yet known, nor is whether the device will appear in Germany.
