Pixar Plans OpenSubdiv 2.0 Release

The Blender Foundation announced that Pixar would present the new version at Siggraph with a Blender-compatible licence.

Pixar names the evaluation (eval) API as the main feature for the release at Siggraph, bringing several new functions. Not much has yet been revealed, nor has the exact timing of the release. But since Siggraph only runs until Thursday, it cannot be much longer. Release 2.0 will use the Apache licence.
