We already reported here on the Pocket Cinema Camera’s sensor-blooming problem.
In the Blackmagic forum, the company commented as follows on the blooming problem occurring for Pocket Cinema Camera owners: "All sensors, whether CCD or CMOS, show a blooming effect when severely overexposed. Depending on the sensor type, this looks different. However, it does not occur in all test units, so it could be related to calibration."
After several owners sent in their cameras, the first user has now posted photos after recalibration at BMD that no longer show a blooming effect from the sensor. Whether this success can be transferred to other user experiences remains to be seen.
