The Dutch filmmakers’ association NBF (www.nbf.nl ) is offering a seminar in Utrecht on the ACES color standard on October 1. It is taking place in cooperation with the Nederlands Film Festival (www.filmfestival.nl) and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for filmmakers and postproduction artists.
The seminar’s topics include what ACES means for a film’s budget and content as well as for the technical field.
Speakers include, among others, Jim Houston, Chairman of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences’s Image Interchange Framework Committee from the United States, and John Quartel, a color researcher and colorist from the UK.

Costs are 12.50 euros for NBF members and 25 euros for non-members.
