The insolvency of VFX studio Rhythm and Hues two weeks after winning its Oscar for its work on "Life of Pi" caused major waves in the industry last year. The documentary film "Life after Pi" provides an overview of the rapid changes that subsequently began in the VFX and film industries worldwide.

The half-hour documentary is the first chapter of an upcoming feature film titled "Hollywood Ending", which will explore in greater depth the complex challenges currently facing the US film industry and its employees.
