Anarchy on the big screen is certain when the Rabbids are allowed to run riot for around two hours. It is not yet known whether the project will be realized as a feature film with integrated CG characters or as a complete animated film—or when. But in a press release, Ubisoft announced that it had secured Sony Pictures as a partner for the film adaptation.
The rabbits could already be seen in the television world. The animated series "Rabbids Invasion" is based on the "Raving Rabbids" game series. The series of 26 episodes was created thanks to a collaboration between Ubisoft Motion Pictures, Nickelodeon and France Televisions. An average of around two million viewers are said to have watched each episode. Perhaps a good omen for the success of a feature film?
