Until June 30, 2014, digital artists can submit their work in 3D/animation, visual effects, and interactive media to the international competition online at www.animago.com.
The prize is awarded in ten categories: Best Postproduction, Best Short Film, Best Advertising Production, Best Interactive Production, Best Game Design, Best Trailer/Opener, Best Visualization, Best Young Production (endowed with 3,000 euros from organizer Digital Production as well as a RenderCube donated by CADnetwork), Best Still (public voting on Facebook), Jury’s Special Prize (endowed with a Dell Precision M3800 workstation donated by Dell/Nvidia).

The animago AWARD & CONFERENCE takes place this year on October 16 and 17 at the Metropolis Halle at Filmpark Babelsberg in Potsdam-Babelsberg near Berlin. This year, too, the industry event offers professionals and young talents exciting presentations, panel discussions, and a freely accessible trade exhibition for everyone interested in film and media. Well-known international companies and studios have already confirmed their attendance, including:
- Industrial Light & Magic, USA: Hollywood blockbusters such as “Avatar”, “Iron Man” and “Iron Man 2”, or “Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen”.

MPC Film, England: current productions include “Godzilla”, “Guardians Of The Galaxy”, or “X-Men Days Of Future Past”.

iAnimate, Canada: training institution in the fields of animation, motion capture, rigging, or lighting. Speaker Richard Arroyo worked on the characters of “Prince Of Persia”, “Thor”, and “Far Cry”, among others.

Glassworks Ltd, Holland: advertising productions for Google, Nike, Kia, or Lego, for example.

Trixter Film, Germany: international projects such as “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”, “Iron Man 3”, or Otto Waalkes’s animated comedy “The 7th Dwarf”, whose cinema release is planned for September 2014.

Pixomondo, Germany: co-production of “The Physician”, visual effects for “Star Trek Into Darkness” or the US television series “Game Of Thrones” (seasons 2 and 3).

RISE | Visual Effects Studios, Germany: Hollywood blockbusters such as “Iron Man 3”, “Cloud Atlas”, or the ZDF production “The Adlon. A Family Saga”.
Software and hardware manufacturers such as Autodesk, Dell, Maxon, Nvidia, and PNY will also present their latest developments and high-end technologies.
