The hardware Joel Schat worked with: two Canon cameras, a 5D Mark and an EOS 6D, with Canon EF 16–35mm, 24–70mm, and 70–200mm lenses and a Rokinon 14mm lens. Lee filters were also used. He also used a Manfrotto tripod and a motion-control system from Dynamic Perception. The making-of video was produced by Roadtrippers.
