Small but impressive – the adapter is plugged into the computer’s USB 3.0 port and then connected to the 4K monitor via the Display Port. This also allows high-resolution 4K displays to be connected via a laptop. The user can choose between the display settings "Extended Screen" or "Clone", meaning it can be used for secondary screens or to clone the content of the first monitor. According to the manufacturer, the graphics adapter can also output Display Port sound and bypass HDCP 2.2 copy protection. So far so good, but: the adapter can output a 4K resolution of 3,840 x 2,160, and the maximum refresh rate is 30 Hz. This makes it rather unsuitable for connecting to the display you want to work with. The CSV-2302 is expected to be available at the end of July for around 120 euros.
