The Video Denoiser is intended for professional use and Cinemartin promises a clean and fast application: upload a clip, select a preset, click the Denoiser button – and noise and film grain are supposed to be gone. The new file can be output as ProRes or DNxHD, among other formats.
Cinemartin particularly wants to address the problem of DSLR cameras. Videos recorded with T or F lenses in poor lighting conditions often have to contend with the typical noice. Cinemartin recommends the software, which can handle all file formats (avi, mov, mits, wmv etc.), for the Sony A7R, Panasonic FZ1000, Canon EOS/5D or Blackmagic BMPCC, among others.
Further information about the Denoiser can be found on the manufacturer’s website, Cinemartin. There, version 1.1 can be downloaded free of charge as a 35-day trial version. The Denoiser is available in three versions: for 99, 149 and 249 euros (Denoiser Std. 1.1, Denoiser Pro 1.1 and Denoiser Gold 1.1).
