In addition, the fifth version has a physics engine and makes shader programming and animation blending possible. Further features include video playback and a network communication option.

Terrain Support

The editor now includes the ability to create and customise terrain. The new terrain generator can be used to design natural environments including trees and grass. Users can also create the terrain directly with the height-painting tools and quickly paint on textures with the "Automatic Texture Blending" function. In addition, tools are available with which grass and bushes can be placed and meshes automatically distributed over the terrain.

Animation Blending

Animations are automatically blended into one another in CopperCube through this feature. However, the feature can also be switched off manually for each model separately. Users therefore no longer necessarily have to create perfect animation loops, because the engine blends mismatched loops together so that they look good.

Weapons or other objects can now also be attached more easily to animated meshes and adapted to the environment through a new command option, and a "Directional Light" option is available for distant light sources.

In the current update 5.0.2, Oculus Rift DK2 support is in beta.
